Getting Servo Module to Work
« on: December 11, 2008, 09:30:20 PM »
I had some trouble with my servo module.  When I plugged it in to the control board nothing seemed to happen, the servos just wiggled back and forth for a second but then nothing happened when I activated the widget.  I realized (with support help) that I didn't change the module channel from it's default of I/O to servo control. I hope this helps others that might run into the same problem...

Thanks Thomas!

The same goes for the X10 module.  The procedure for getting a smart board to work is as follows.

1) Get you module online
2) Plug the smart board into an I/O Channel
3) Go to your module's settings page.
4) Click on the text after the channel's Mode, a drop down box should appear.
5) Make the proper selection and save.
6) The module should reset itself and register the smart board.  If this is done correctly, a little green LED on the smart board will light.

I am having a similar problem. The green light on the board is on. The module is listed as a servo. But if the position is changed from zero, it just makes a noise that persists until I change the position back to 0. Any ideas?

Is the connector for the servo on backwards?

Also is it an analog or digital servo?
