ioBridge Dashboard Adding widgets + customization
« on: December 11, 2008, 09:34:07 PM »
I noticed that you have to click the little + sign to the right of "view or edit widget" to transfer it over to the dashboard.  Once it's there, does anyone know if there is a way to customize the look of the dashboard and reorganize my widgets on it.  I'd also love to format it to display nicely on an iphone if possible.

Suggestions?

As of this moment, we don't have an alternate layout for iPhones.   But it's a great idea!

I would suggest taking the java script that each widget generates and making your own "dashboard page." It can be as simple as copy and pasting a little text into note pad or something more.

Below is a custom page I made for controlling my lights. It's formatted to display properly on my iphone. (note: the on/off for living room down are just place holders till I get more x10 modules, but the first few are working buttons)

Hey Jason...

I'm kinda wondering if it would be worthwhile to setup a forum specifically for html integration and coding, java, browsers, mobile access... Just everything html related? Or should that just fall under widgets? Maybe relabel it Widgets and Internet Publishing?

Just a thought. I think the html conversation could potentially go in *many* directions with all the browser types, desktop vs mobile, etc. etc..

If you haven't found the announcement, we create a new interface for iPod Touch and iPhone users. Our system automatically detects your device type and formats the screen for landscape and portrait orientations.
