1-wire sensors

I've been playing around with some 1-wire temperature sensors (DS18S20) and an Arduino.  They seem to have a really good accuracy and response time, plus the added benefit that you can string a whole bunch of them together. 

So next I'm going to have a try at interfacing these with the io-204 serial interface board. 

At the moment I'm trying to hunt down a SOIC -> bread board adapter.  I'd appreciate if anyone has tips for where to buy/order in Finland.  I tried ebay but they either don't ship to here, or the shipping is just too expensive for such a small component.

Anyway I'll feedback some updates once I've made some more progress!

maybe its cheaper to get the TO-92 version of the DS18S20 then to buy a board for the SOIC version.  http://datasheets.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/DS18S20.pdf Where did you buy the DS18S20 ?

The DS18S20 came as samples from maxim.  Sorry for the confussion, the SOIC adapter is for a serial bridge.  I managed to track a SOIC adapter down from ebay that will deliver here, although it's only a PCB, but maybe I can balance the whole thing on my breadboard and get a bit further.  I also ordered some header pin strips to make a cable and hopefully to connect the SOIC board to the breadboard.  Well I'll find out in a couple weeks when the parts arrive
