What happend now?
« on: May 15, 2009, 11:21:10 PM »
Maybe 4 minutes ago, about 23:15, iobridge went crazy, 7 segment display running all digits, internet Led flashing green, red continuously for about 30 seconds, relay clicking continuously. iobridge running on UPS, so power is ok, i was on PC browsing so internet connection and my router was ok. Was there a problem with the iobridge servers ?

well...  it is ioBridge beta  ;)

That one was my fault.  My network went down in the middle of some server maintenance which left one server in a precarious state.

Even Google was done for a bit today!  It's a bad day for technology.

no problem, even Google craps out (and even the stuff I am implementing  ;D ), as long we know what caused it and even more important what it can cause on the iobridge side. In this case it means we have to take same measures that this kind of fault (what can happen in the best managed system) will not cause any harm on the controlled object. In my case relay was flipping, what i do not know, because I was not prepared for this, if all relays flipped or only some of them. I have to find a way to prevent this when i want to control my servers with this. If all realys flip, i guess I know how to prevent it. If only some, I am not so sure. I am working on this issue, but I have not implemented it yet. This is the reason I still play with my lab setup and do not control my servers yet.
Thanks, Wolfgang
