io-204 not connecting
« on: May 31, 2009, 11:44:43 AM »
Is there a server down?

I've noticed my io-204 is trying to reconnect to iobridge ie red/green leds flashing and "0" showing but finishing with a red led and a "1" on the display, this is repeating maybe every 15-30 seconds. I've tried removing all of the modules from the io-204 but it still isn't connecting to iobridge ? Any thoughts as it has been very reliable for the last month?

I've tried powering down the io-204 several times to see if that cured it but no success :(

it's back on-line sothe problem seems to have gone away. It's slightly scary just how worried I was at losing the interactivity lol

My modules are connected, but the dashboard is very unresponsive.

We didn't have any outages yesterday.  I was demo-ing the system in California all day and everything was working well for me.

Cheers Jason, I'm beginning to think my broadband needs a good kicking :)

Mine has been connected pretty much 100% of the time since my original query. There have been a couple of downtimes when my broadband has gone offline for some reason or other.

I have a module sitting in front of me all day long and I now have a very easy way to see when my local internet connection goes down (the IO-204 lets me know).  It amazing how many times a day my ISP does down.  It's only ever for a few seconds at a time but still.

As for our servers...   they are in a data center with a few layers of redundancy.  Checking the server logs, I can see that a few users are on some very reliable connections.  Their modules have been logged on for weeks without a single interruption.

Come on then Jason, who has the io-204 with the longest uninterrupted uptime? I know it isn't mine lol:)

That does not help at all. I have it on the same switch as other peripherals which are working just fine, tried switching ports. Looks to be trying to connect every so often, then goes back to 0

Mine seems very reliable, occasional slow down when the servers are busy I guess.  But looking at my 30day logs I don't really notice any gaps, just the occasional blips in the values as mentioned elsewhere.
