Is there a purpose for this Facebook group?  Just because a group CAN be created, doesn't mean it should. What I see there at the moment is just a cut and paste from the forum.

It seems like you risk spreading out all of the great info we get here at your forum and thus water it down, so to speak. JMHO.

I think it's great to have one centralized repository of knowledge and experience. Now we have to check two places to make sure we don't miss something important?  :P 

Is this a shift in policy by ioBridge?

The purpose of the group was not to "water down" the information here on the website. Consider it more like bait that, once bitten, will reel you into the IO Bridge website.
