Data Logging Averaging

I was wonder if you could provide a little information on how the data logging averaging works.  As in, I  am logging temperature every 600 seconds and turn turn on the averaging how many points are averaged?  Are the number of points adjustable, ie setting channel messaging time to say 60 seconds so you get 10 data points to average at the 600 second mark.  Does the averaging delay the data points? Thanks

You have the right idea. Any points sent in the 10 minute window will be averaged. It does not matter how many get sent, they all will get averaged in that time period. We recommend setting auto-messaging to at least 60-120 seconds. And, there is no delay in the data point, the averaging happens in real-time.
