what are you working on...
« on: August 21, 2009, 06:04:16 AM »
I'm interested in what people are currently working on, especially the iobridge crew :)  It seems to have gone a bit quiet here of late, summer holidays perhaps?  Still a quiet group must mean everything is just working as it should :)

Anyway I got my 2nd iobridge installed into its final home yesterday.  So now I have one in the loft and one down in the cellar giving me 4 temperature readings: outside, loft, kitchen and cellar.  That's all the major temperature zones in the house, apart from the sauna!  Built up a small 4 line LCD display into a picture frame and mounted that too.  Very pleased with the result.

The rest of my X10 stuff has also arrived and I've been working on my iPhone application for controlling the whole thing when away from home.  So far I have two Axis 207w cameras working and a couple of light switches in the application and the temperature readings.  Next I want to look at some graphing, but maybe that will wait for the next version of the application!

Things I'd like to be able to do via the application:
*API access to logging - for the graphing
*Configure iobridge module via API
*Support more widgets like servos, serial, etc
*X10 scheduling - I think it was mentioned that this might be added anyway in the future?
*Control PTZ cameras.

Moving the iobridge stuff around yesterday got me quite interested again, so when are there gonna be some more goodies to buy? :)

I'm also working again on 2-way X10 control, but the serial API is making it a bit tricky for sending responses...

Home Automation via a native iPhone application.  Search for HomeWatch in iTunes.

We just finished moving the business from Florida to North Carolina...   that took some time.  Now I'm in the middle of learning a new, higher performance chipset.

I've got a number of projects going on. The main one is a web controlled robot. Details forthcoming. Having some issues with pwm signals and some speed controllers.
