ioBridge hardware sdk/api
« on: October 01, 2009, 11:37:55 AM »
The other day at frys I saw a guy with an arduino and an ethernet shield looking for an enclosure. I started a conversation and asked about his project. He was building a temp and humidity sensor for his company data center. I asked if he knew about ioBridge, he said that he look into it, but his higher ups wanted complete control (no cloud service).

Now I love the fact that ioBridge server is providing us with a great service. The question is could it be possible to open up a small set of interfaces to interact directly with the device?  I am not saying to release the whole ioBridge server software (which I know is covered on the FAQ) but just an option to configure your ioBridge to call to a different custom "home"...

I'm just shooting away...I am more than pleased with the ioBridge server uptime and have no plans to host my own even if the option is offered. But just opening the options for guys like the mentioned above where security requirements are strict.

Update...I knew I read something about this before and I found it...is on the About page http://www.iobridge.com/about/

"We are interested in forming partnerships with other organizations. We can also help set up systems with many ioBridge modules on a private network with a dedicated ioBridge server for corporate customers."

The case still exist for "smaller" corporate clients that still want to tinker with things...
