I have my IOBridge in a crawl space under our mountain house to monitor weather gadgets. I ran an ethernet cable from the IOBridge across the room, about 14 feet, to a wireless link, and that communicates wirelessly with the router, which is upstairs in the room directly above. The problem I'm having is that it constantly loses touch between the IOBridge and the wireless link device. The two are connected by the ethernet cable, and the wireless link device shows up on the router's list as being connected and I can bring up the wireless link's setup screen on my web browser.
I'm thinking that either it doesn't like the cable length, or that the power situation under the house (same circuit as the furnace) could be the problem. It tends to work for several hours after it's powered up, then gives up and goes offline. I only get up there once a month, so it's tough to troubleshoot. I was wondering if anyone has a thought as to what the problem could be. I installed a timer to turn it off and back on once a day, but even that doesn't help. The cable has also been replaced three times.
