Howdy and My first IOBridge Project.

Howdy -

I'm new to the ioBridge community and just got my first ioBridge project online.
I created a web page (fussychickens.com) that allows me to keep an eye on my chickens in real time via the Web. It uses an ioBridge to monitor temperature, light level, and door status and turn the coop's light off and on.

Really nice! I like how easy is to integrate the ioBridge widgets with blogger.com!
Where do you keep your MB pro? Do you have a long cable?

The Mac is connected to a firewire/video interface with about a 15' cable. Firewire isn't for long diistances. The audio and video make a much longer trip from the chicken coop to the firewire interface - about 125 feet over RG6 quad for the video and a balanced XLR for the audio. There is a Nitek coax surge suppressor where the video comes into the house.

It is amazing how easy it is to interface the ioBridge widgets with Blogger. Can't wait to try  out some other ioBridge projects.

We love fussychickens.com!

It's cool to check in on your chickens. I never thought we would see that...Cluck, Cluck.
