Hardware question

Hey, I am pretty new to diy projects using iobridge, does anybody have any good suggestions on how to detect the state of a deadbolt lock? I would like to check if the deadbolt is locked/unlocked using the iobridge.
Thanks!

A simple mechanical way will be to wire a SPDT Switch with roller lever

.
It will be a matter of connecting ground and digitial input, then creating a widget to see the digital input state (high/low = on/off)
