Hi,

I have setup my IOBridge to send I/O notification to my ping.fm email address, which forwards that to my twitter website.

Now I noticed that twitter does not allow duplicate tweets.
Anybody know if I can do something about that?

Regards
Rogier

Ps.
I am using my IO bridge to control our cat door
So I know when cat came through.
Can open/close remotely (even on my WM6.5 with an self written  app)
Close the door when its getting dark.
Close the door when temperature drops below -5C

(Not all is finished jet, but I will post some pics and instruction next week).

Hmmm... How often does it tweet? I ask because I haven't yet seen any probs with the many tweets my io puts out. I just started using a different Twitter name but you can see my latest tweets here - http://twitter.com/aquagadget

Maybe its ping.fm that has the dup tweet restriction?

Thansk for your response.

Ok I had another try. there seems to be a time limit.
For testing of course my device was sending several tweets in a short time.
Then you get the message: "Whoops! You already said that... please post a new tweet. Learn more here."

Seems to work after a while. That should do it. In "production" the cat door is only opened/closed twice a day.

%%date%% in the message will print out the time date stamp. Maybe you can add that to the end of the message so that each message will be unique.

I like that idea.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work.  Sad

Who should print out this command to the time date stamp in my case?
IoBridge server, Ping.fm or Twitter?

Thanks and have a nice weekend.

Ps. Cats don't seem to care about being controlled remotely and being monitored on the internet *ggg*
