Finally, but oh wait... servo board has failed :(
« on: March 10, 2010, 05:17:49 PM »
Hey guys, not sure if this is still as active as before, but i bought an iobridge module over a year ago? and finally been able to start her up again as i have a settled wired ethernet connection and i have stoped playing 'lets move student house'

My servo module, SB-1 which i bought when they first came out, no longer works... the LED does not light up, and i fear that it has blown doto a spike? it did last work last time i plugged the complete setup, but no light...

Is there a way of fixing these Lyn or Jason? otherwise i fear the costs of buying a new one with shipping...

Thank you!

Agin i have missed using the iobridge!"

Just gotta ask... Have you made sure that the module channel (that the SB-1 is connected to) is set for servo mode and not something else? Good luck!

Hi, thank you for your reply.

I have the port set to servo mode and correct servo number (tried all) but alas no light - can you confirm if the led displays when a command is recieved, or if its when the board is connected to the iobridge.

Thank you!

The green LED is lit when the board is plugged in and configured for servo mode. If you take it out of servo mode the LED goes off.

I remember doing a hard reset at one point to resolve a problem like that. I just don't recall if it was the same prob. Maybe try that?

Since you haven't used the module in awhile, have you updated the firmware?

Aha, a quick search of the ol search and it works! iobridge - you solved this prob for another member - the channel was not selected to 'servo' mode  http://www.iobridge.net/forum/index.php/topic,115.0.html

"Check the Modules Tab, the Channel Settings are under the module in the table. Once you get to your module, find the channel and select "Servo" in the mode settings.

Here are the steps:

Click "Modules"
Click on your module in table
Each channel is listed and under the channel your module is connected to, select "Servo" under the Channel Mode Settings.

The light should turn on and the servo should work again (hopefully).

Let me know."
