Is there a way to disable the Data Feed?

Is there any way to disable the data feed from my module? The idea is that I will want to share my data feed with other sites and there may come a point when I may want to temporarily disable the feed.

It's a good idea to be able to disable the feed. I will add that to our list of upcoming features.
