LCD Board Random Character Display
« on: June 11, 2010, 07:12:13 PM »
When I hook the LCD board to a channel configured as serial on my ioBridge board it displays a set of 5 characters repeatedly (not sure how to write them here, they are block type ones).  If I send commands and text, they are also displayed or the action taken, but the repeated text continue to come up as well until it fills the screen.  If I hook the LCD into a port designated for I/O then it does not display this text.  The repeating also stops if the ethernet cord is unplugged leading me to believe that some external signal is causing the display.  Could this be due to some random interference on the network, or any other ideas on the problem?

This is a really odd interaction. We will have to look closer to figure it out. Can you email support@iobridge.com?

Thanks.
